That’s why our application process is just a few easy steps.

Step 1: Your Application

Search for a vacancy under the Current Vacancies tab, complete an application form and upload an up to date CV.


If you would like a paper application form, please contact us at recruitment@stelizabeths.org.uk and we can arrange for one to be sent to you.

Once we have received your CV we will contact you to discuss your application and the role in more detail. We will want to know why you’ve made the application, what interests you in St Elizabeth’s and to learn more about your skills, knowledge and motivations for working with us. This will also include details of the role, such as working pattern, pay, career progression, etc.

Successful candidates will be invited to attend an in person interview with a hiring manager and a member of our recruitment team. We apply a consistent approach to our question setting across our interviews to ensure that everyone is assessed against the identified values, competencies and job requirements. The interview will last approx. 45 minutes followed by a 30-minute written assessment.


You will also have the opportunity to be shown round the site following your interview.

Successful candidates will receive a call from the recruitment team extending an offer of employment. We are dedicated to safeguarding, so all offers of employment will be subject to a rigorous safer recruitment processes and compliance satisfactory to St Elizabeth’s.

All new employees will receive a comprehensive induction, designed to help you give your best at St Elizabeth’s. Your induction is bespoke to your role and will include a blend of practical and online training, and may cover topics such as manual handling, epilepsy, safeguarding, basic first aid and much more. You will also undertake shadow shifts during your first two weeks giving you the opportunity to meet your team and the young people you will be supporting.

Step 6: Part of the Team

You can now put your training and new skills to good practice. You would have been given your monthly rota on your first day, which details when your shifts will fall. All employees are also subject to a six-month probationary period. Your career at St Elizabeth’s is now underway!
